Assembling a HiBar submittal pack

By Industry Army Marketing (IAM) · September 28, 2026

A submittal should connect the proposed product to the project requirements. Organise it so a reviewer can locate the relevant assembly and identify unresolved questions quickly.

HiBAR planning diagram: project references — collect current drawings and revisions; product documents — attach current supporting documents; review record — track comments and acceptance status.
Project references → Product documents → Review record. This diagram explains the review sequence covered on this page. Illustration: Industry Army Marketing (IAM), based on this article’s planning checklist. Diagram only; not a project photograph or installation detail.

Start with the project references

Include the specification section, drawing revisions and a schedule of affected elements. Identify who prepared the submission and what approval is requested. Do not mix alternatives with the intended installation without clear labels.

Use current supporting documents

Provide manufacturer information and the assembly-specific evidence required by the project team. Confirm that the documents describe the proposed product and application. A collection of unrelated test reports can obscure rather than answer the design question.

Track the review outcome

Record comments, revisions and final acceptance in a simple register. Make the accepted version available on site. Carry approved changes into the handover so maintenance staff do not inherit an obsolete proposal.

Keep with your project brief
